These terms govern your use of Protop.in. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, please stop using it. Questions can be sent to info@protop.in.

1. The service

Protop provides online file tools. Available tools are free in this version and do not require registration. Supported formats, file sizes, processing limits and availability vary by tool and device. “Free” does not mean unlimited capacity, support for every format or a guarantee of future availability.

2. Your files and permissions

You retain ownership of your files. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to select, process, download and use content. Using a conversion tool does not grant new copyright, privacy or publicity rights. Publicly visible content is not automatically free to download or reuse.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use Protop for unlawful activity, harassment, copyright infringement, malicious files, excessive automated traffic or interference with the service. Do not attempt to bypass passwords, paywalls, private profiles, age restrictions, access controls or technical protection measures.

4. Social media and external platforms

Social download services are not connected in this version. Any future support is subject to permitted access, platform rules and content-owner rights. We do not promise access to every video, Story, post or profile picture. We do not request platform passwords. Protop is independent of YouTube, Google, Instagram and Meta; their names and marks belong to their respective owners.

5. Conversion results

Conversions may change quality, layout, colour, metadata, transparency, animation or signatures. Check results before relying on them and retain your originals. A requested compression size may require reducing resolution or quality and may not always be achievable. Do not rely on the service as your only backup.

6. Availability and responsibility

We provide the tools on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect compatibility or error-free output. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude implied warranties and liability for indirect loss, loss of profits or loss of data arising from use of the service. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Privacy and website content

Our privacy policy describes current processing practices. Protop’s branding, original website design and site content remain protected by applicable rights. These terms do not transfer ownership of your own uploaded or locally selected files to us.

8. Updates and contact

We may improve, change, limit or withdraw tools and update these terms. Changes apply prospectively after publication; material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
